If you drive a work truck, van, or fleet vehicle around Wichita, you’re already paying for advertising space, you just might not be using it yet. Every mile you drive is a chance for potential customers to see your business. A professionally installed vehicle wrap turns that daily commute into a mobile billboard that works for you around the clock.
At Big Corner Creative, we specialize in designing and installing custom vehicle wraps for Wichita businesses of every size, from single work trucks to full fleets. Here’s what you need to know before you wrap your first vehicle.
Why Vehicle Wraps Are a Smart Investment
A vehicle wrap does more than make your truck look sharp. It’s one of the most cost-effective marketing tools available to a local business. Vehicle wraps/decals help your business by providing:
- Brand visibility: Your logo and message travel with you everywhere, from job sites to supply store parking lots.
- Fleet branding: A consistent look across multiple vehicles builds instant recognition and trust.
- Professional image: A clean, well-designed wrap signals that you run a legitimate, established business.
- Mobile advertising: Unlike a billboard, your ad moves through neighborhoods all over Wichita every day.
- Higher close rates: For service businesses especially, showing up in a branded vehicle can make the difference when a customer is deciding between multiple quotes.
- Paint protection: A wrap adds a layer of protection against sun exposure and minor road debris.
Types of Vehicle Wraps and Their Differences
Not every business needs the same level of coverage. Here’s a quick breakdown of your options:
Full Wrap
Covers the entire vehicle for maximum visual impact and complete brand takeover. Great for businesses that want to make the biggest possible impression.
Great for: Fleet vehicles, food trucks, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and home services; delivery vehicles, school activity buses, box trucks
Color Change Wrap
A full wrap used to change the vehicle’s color rather than add branding, popular for personal vehicles or businesses wanting a specific brand color without a repaint. These may have glitter finishes, chrome, or matte.
Great for: Businesses wanting a specific brand color/color match without a full graphic package, or a personal vehicle refresh.
Partial Wrap
Covers key sections of the vehicle rather than the whole thing. This is a great budget-conscious option that still gets your logo, name, and contact info front and center.
Great for: Solo business operators, contractors, landscapers, mobile service providers, service vehicles, professional branding on a tighter budget
Spot Graphics/Decals
Smaller, targeted graphics like your logo and phone number. A simple, affordable way to brand a vehicle without a full installation. These may also include accent colors or pinstriping for visual impact.
Great for: Real estate agents, consultants, insurance agents, small business owners, DOT numbers, service business estimator vehicles.
Window Perf
Perforated vinyl applied to windows that displays graphics on the outside while still allowing visibility from the inside. Window perf can also help hide items that are inside vehicles, making it useful for rear windows of service vehicles with tools while maintaining visibility.
Great for: Delivery vans, trade and service vehicles, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, or handymen. Designs that you want to integrate across windows while maintaining visibility.

At BCC, we wrap nearly everything on wheels (or floating): work trucks, cars, boats, motorcycles, buses, vans, trailers, box trucks, race cars, ATVs, golf carts, and full fleet vehicles. We work especially often with food trucks, service vehicles, and delivery vehicles here in the Wichita area.
What Should Be on Your Company Vehicle Wrap
Designing an effective vehicle wrap comes down to one goal: instant recognition. Drivers and pedestrians only have a few seconds to process your rolling billboard, so clarity is far more important than crammed details. Here is what your company vehicle wrap should include to maximize the design space:
- Your business name and logo should be the foal point of the design, prominently on each side and the rear of the vehicle where traffic naturally sits.
- Include a value proposition with details of what you do. A “tag line” helps explain your service to potential customers if they’re not familiar with your company’s name.
- Streamline your contact details with just a phone number or website. It’s difficult, but try to limit it. You don’t need every social media handle and email address crammed onto the door.
- High contrast, large lettering that is bold enough to be seen from far away, and clear, clean fonts that are readable will ensure your message remains legible from afar.
- Align your wrap design, colors, typography and with your existing marketing materials. Consistent visual cues across channels will build trust and make your business memorable over time.
Why Professional Vehicle Wrap Installation Matters
A vehicle wrap is only as good as its installation. Proper vehicle wrap installation is in the details – our team takes great care to ensure the surface of your vehicle is prepped and cleaned of dust, wax or adhesive that could cause issues with adhesion. We mind the hardware and vehicle accents, both during the design process and installation. We never overstretch the material, and we don’t believe in cutting corners because your investment is just as important to us as it is to you. DIY kits and inexperienced installers often lead to problems that show up weeks or months later, including:
- Bubbles and wrinkles from improper surface prep
- Lifting edges that get worse over time
- Poorly aligned panels that throw off the whole design
- Weak adhesion from skipped prep steps or bad installation conditions
- Awkward seams that draw the eye for all the wrong reasons
A skilled installer will walk you through the materials being used, how long the wrap should last, how to care for it, and what warranty is included, so you know exactly what you’re getting before your vehicle leaves the shop. At Big Corner Creative, we handle design, printing, and installation entirely in-house using top-tier materials like Arlon, 3M, and Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping, and every job is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty.
Caring for Your Wrapped Vehicle
A little maintenance goes a long way toward protecting your investment. With proper care and cleaning, a quality vehicle wrap can last for years. Follow these simple recommendations to help you preserve your investment and keep your vehicle looking its best:
- Hand wash with a mild, non-abrasive detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse your vehicle thoroughly prior to washing to remove pebbles or gravel that may scratch the vinyl during rubbing.
- If using an automatic car wash, choose touchless or brushless options
- Avoid pressure washing when possible. If necessary, use the lowest psi setting possible, low temperature, and keep the nozzle at least 12 to 15 inches from the surface of the vehicle.
- Remove bird droppings, tree sap, etc. using isopropyl alcohol or Simple Green with a microfiber cloth, then rinse the area with cool water after cleaning.
- Wipe up fuel spills immediately and wash the area with a mild detergent and water as soon as possible.
- DO NOT use the following types of cleaners: solvents, oil-based cleaners, kitchen and bathroom cleaners, oven cleaners, or engine degreasers. If in doubt, test cleaners on an inconspicuous spot on the vehicle before use. Never use abrasive sponges or other abrasive cleaning media.
- Park in shade or a covered area when you can, since prolonged sun exposure will fade colors and weaken edges of graphics (which causes cracking) over time
- Avoid aggressive driving on gravel or unpaved roads
Frequently Asked Questions About Business Vehicle Wraps/Graphics
How much does a vehicle wrap cost?
Cost depends on size of vehicle, vehicle condition, scale of the installation. For a standard work truck, you can expect a full wrap to cost $2500 and up. A Partial Wrap is $1500 and up. And decals are $450.00 and up. Please contact us for a no obligation custom quote!
What warranty do you offer?
We are proud to offer a 1 year workmanship warranty on our wrap and graphics installations.
Why should I choose BCC for my vehicle wrap installation?
Since 2017 we’ve been designing and installing custom wraps in-house. We choose industry-leading, quality materials such as Arlon, 3M & Avery Dennison, and believe in customer service above all else. Everything from design, printing, and installation is handled entirely in-house in Wichita by our experienced team.
How long do vehicle wraps last?
This depends heavily on how and where the vehicle is used. A work truck in full sun, driven daily, can expect a wrap to last around 3 to 4 years. A vehicle kept in garaged conditions will often get 5 to 7 years out of the same wrap.
Does a wrap protect my paint?
It offers some protection from sun exposure, small road debris, and everyday wear, but it isn’t a substitute for repairing damaged, rusty, or peeling paint underneath.
Do you design professional vehicle wraps?
Yes! Our in-house designers have built custom designs for thousands of local businesses. We are happy to sit down and discuss your project in person prior to starting. We can also provide a color proof swatch as needed to match specific brand standards.
Can a vehicle wrap be removed when it’s time to sell the vehicle/rebrand?
Yes, vehicle wraps can be removed by professionals with the correct tools and without damaging the paint, if the wrap was installed correctly and removed within its expected timespan for the material. If paint or body work was damaged prior to installation or if the wrap is left on too long, paint removal can occur during removal.
Do you remove vehicle wraps?
Yes, BCC will remove vehicle wraps that are in reasonable condition, either prior to installing a new vehicle wrap or if you plan to have it removed to sell. We will ask how long the wrap/graphics have been on and may ask you to bring the vehicle by to assess the length of time required so we can give you an accurate quote.
Do you offer specialty finishes?
Yes, we offer chrome, matte, and carbon fiber finishes, plus racing stripes for that extra bit of personality. Feel free to stop by to look at color swatches and samples to personalize your vehicle.
Do you install PPF?
No, BCC does not install PPF. PPF is made to protect and is a different material than what we use. Vinyl wraps are made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and are thinner than PPF material. Vinyl wraps are quicker to install and less expensive than PPF, making them a good investment for commercial vehicles.
How long does a vehicle wrap take?
The installation process depends on the size of vehicle and complexity of the installation. For example, color changes that require removing hardware, doors, etc, will take more time than small graphic installation. BCC is typically able to install work vehicle graphics in half a day, do a full truck wrap in 2-3 days, and a box truck in 3-4 days. We’re happy to provide you an estimated time frame with your quote!
How do I prepare my vehicle for a wrap?
A small amount of preparation greatly aids in the efficiency of the wrap installation process as well as prolonging the lifetime of your vehicle wrap. Thoroughly wash your vehicle with a mild detergent and water 24 hours before dropping it off. Vinyl film will adhere much better to a clean and dry vehicle. DO NOT wax or apply any other protective substance to your vehicle prior to drop off. These will adversely affect adhesion. If possible, please have any or paint, rust or body damage repaired prior to your scheduled appointment. If this is not possible, please inform us of any damage when dropping off your vehicle. If you have specific questions about the preparation of your vehicle, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What do I need to do to schedule a wrap with BCC?
Contact us for a quote! We’ll need the make/model of your vehicle and may ask questions such as number of doors, rear window style, or if you have any modifications. We require 50% prepayment to begin design work & schedule your wrap installation date, with the remaining balance due upon completion of installation. We will consult with you about what you’d like to see on your wrap, put together a custom design for your business, and send you a proof for review/revisions (up to 3 rounds included!).
