But how can having a mobile friendly site help your site rank higher in search? Back in April of this year, Google rolled out an update that boosts the ranking of mobile-friendly pages on mobile search results. This means that having a mobile-friendly site could actually affect your ranking when someone searches for you or your product from their mobile device!
But why do your results matter on mobile? According to Google, 10 countries (including the United States and Japan) more searches take place on mobile devices than on computers. When indexing your site Google is now checking to see if searchers will be able to find the information without tapping or zooming, to deliver a high quality experience for the searcher.
